THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE
In 2015, Cassis Hill owners, Gina & Simon, lived near Aix-en-Provence with their two young sons. They spent their days embracing the simple things in life such as hiking 'les calanques' along the Mediterranean. In a nod to this tranquil time, Cassis Red Hill is named after a quaint fishing village 'Cassis' in the South of France. Alongside enjoying nature walks, local vineyards and fresh farm to plate produce, guests can cycle the Cassis complimentary bikes down the road to Tedesca - recent winner of restaurant of the year.

THE METAMORPHOSIS
Cassis Red Hill was formerly a restaurant and private residence known as Artisan. Gina and Simon chose to keep the roof line and floor plans of the original accommodation but they wanted to modernise the interiors significantly. What was once the restaurant, became additional accommodation to enable the property to house five luxury villas.

AUTHENTIC AND ENJOYABLE
When it came to the interiors, the owners wanted to “recreate the same instant sense of welcolmed calm” they experienced during their time living in a French 17th Century Rustic Farmhouse. Avoiding the clutter often associated with a country house, they have perfected a paired back aesthetic, a 'modern rustic’ charm. The gentle, earthy colour palette and modern luxurious finishes temper the original ornate slate floors and raked timber ceiling. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and carefully curated so as to complement the surrounding vineyards and countryside.
