The Block Room Reveals - Living & Dining Room.

Let's unpack Sunday nights episode of The Block, revealing the living and dining rooms the couples worked tirelessly on and perhaps the rooms that have shocked the nation the most so far this season.

Risk and reward rang true for couple Leah and Ash who finally took home a win. The couple went all out with their loud and punchy styling, coining the term “psycho-deco” to explain the clashing of colours, materials and key features used. It wouldn’t have been Eadie’s top pick but we can appreciate the couple experimenting with an aesthetic outside of beige.

Eliza and Liberty - our favourite inexperienced duo - came in hot with second place. Elaborate art, structured furniture and rich tones had us fawning over the space. The only downfall we can criticise is the fireplace in the middle of the room, an appealing idea but not an easy execution.

Third place came in with a tie between couples Kristy and Brett alongside Steph and Gian. Starting with Kristy and Brett, an edgy fireplace and an earthy colour palette were a match made in Block Heaven for us! Our Granita cushion complemented the couples artwork choice flawlessly, executing the overall styling and leaving us thinking they should have placed higher.

While Steph and Gian stuck to their Japandi theme and incorporated chocolatey goodness into the space, unfortunately, the couple fell short this week. There are elements to love but functionality that doesn’t make sense like the tiny TV and overcrowding in every corner.

Falling into last place was Kyle and Leslie, a room that we agreed was a little too small for a Block living and dining reveal. However the soft, ethereal feel has Eadie’s heart and so does our oversized Bedouin throw that sits effortlessly on the sofa. Considering the little area still has character and a real “homey” type of vibe, it was a sad placing for the pair.
