As Founder & Creative Director, Trudie Cox, finalised the key pieces of the S24 Tallows Home Collection, the next step was finding the perfect location to bring the vision to life . . .
“Tallows” is inspired by the dichotomy of the Australian landscape - eucalypt leaves crackling beneath your feet, strolls through the shallow shorelines, a warm embrace with the setting rays and bell singing birds amidst the palm trees. It was essential to find a location that captured this true essence of Australian nature. After endless scouting, Palm Pavilion embodied everything we envisioned for Tallows. Surrounded by native Australian flora and fauna, it was the ideal backdrop for our campaign, capturing the serene beauty and spirit of the Australian landscape.
Nestled within the winding roads of Church Point, in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, lies the enchanting property. A hidden gem, this Airbnb is tucked behind a lush curtain of towering palm trees and the largest elephant ear leaves you’ll ever lay eyes on. Just steps away from the blue bay below, it offers a serene and secluded escape.

Our creative team arrived at the property filled with anticipation and excitement. The exterior, reminiscent of shipping containers, only hinted at how innovative the architecture was. We were delighted to discover the interior walls entirely finished in a lime wash wood, resembling the raw, peeled bark of an eucalyptus tree. It really felt as though the space was made for the Tallows collection.

The creative energy flowed the moment we entered Palm Pavilion. As we styled the sets, Eadie - the character Trudie taps into when designing each collection - was ever present. For the past ten seasons, Eadie had been curiously exploring and travelling the globe. This season Eadie had a desire to simplify life, slow down and connect with self. Realising there’s no better way to do this than to immerse oneself in nature, Eadie was drawn to return home. The quiet at Palm Pavilion became the perfect retreat for Eadie. A sanctuary where she could slow down, reflect and reconnect with herself and nature.
During our time at Palm Pavilion, we experienced what felt like four seasons in one week. Tropical downpours, sun soaked afternoons and stunning sunsets. We also had the opportunity to connect with nature ourselves. We encountered visits from local wildlife including the laugh of the iconic Australian Kookaburra and love from the vibrant King Parrot. A gentle reminder of how extraordinary our very own backyard is.
