Say hello to “Grèce” a newly built and perfectly executed home nestled in the heart of Brisbane. Owned and brought to life by power couple, Thessy and Georgio Batsinilas, each known for their entrepreneurial pursuits (Sabo Skirt and FitazFK).
After witnessing this home we think the pair can now add “architectural and interior experts” under their belt. The home was inspired by their shared Greek backgrounds, hence the namesake. At every step of the process, the overall Mediterranean feel was considered, resulting in an exceptionally rendered and abundantly light-filled home. Truly bringing Greece to them.
Thessy has been open about her favourite part of the home, the master, which is possibly ours too. Proudly overlooking the Brisbane city landscape and minimalistic to the core, it was only fitting they chose pieces from our handwoven linen collection, crafted from natural materials to complete the space. The Mayla Long Lumbar and Bedouin Natural Throw only add to the textural appeal within the home and blend seamlessly in with the boucle bedding.
Beyond the ‘wow factor’ features within the home including the gym, sauna, plunge pool and infinity pool with ‘Grèce’ branding, we find these rooms to be the most tranquil. Sheers to frame all the windows filtering in the Queensland sunshine and calming white accents create the perfect place to unwind. Throughout the bedrooms, you can find our Bedouin Ivory cushions. The handmade nature of this linen means every piece is slightly different which only adds to the home's unique, luxurious look and feel.
Since Thessy started Sabo Skirt in 2011, predicting and forecasting trends have become vital to her success and this is exactly what she has done with her home too. The creation of Grèce has transcended current trends and is an architectural design we predict we will see more of in the future while maintaining a timeless appeal. The thoughtful curved rendering was integral to the Greek feel and has been reflected in details right down to the furniture chosen, thus creating beautiful synchronicities. Again, the Bedouin Ivory cushion was selected for the downstairs living to complement the lasting charm.
